Candidates Keri Davis (MS) and Jacob Hammond (MM) are running for SHEA Secretary to complete the last year of Maggi McDonald's term (July 12025 - June 30, 2026).

Keri Davis:

Thank you for the opportunity to announce my candidacy for the officer position of Secretary for the 2025-2026 school year.  I would be honored and privileged to serve as the Secretary of SHEA.  

I have held various union positions over the past twenty years.  I understand the importance of our collective strength in advocating for the needs and rights of educators.  I have a deep commitment to our membership and will work diligently to see that our voices are heard and our concerns are addressed.  I look forward to the possibility of serving our members and our membership.  Thank you.

Jacob Hammond:

I am an experienced educator with over ten years in the classroom and a strong history of union involvement. Before being hired at Sweet Home, I was Vice President of the Oakfield-Alabama Central School District union. While at Sweet Home, I have proudly contributed to the SHEA PRC team for the past two years.

As a third-grade teacher, I bring excellent organizational skills, clear communication, and a deep understanding of member concerns. I believe in the power of a united voice and am committed to transparency, advocacy, and support for all SHEA members. I’m ready to serve as Secretary with dedication and a focus on meaningful progress.
